Our Bluebird

In just a year, how have we gone from this precious flower:

To this adorable bluebird?

Side note: Dear time.  Please stop.  You are moving WAY too fast.

Emma had her second dance recital last weekend and this year she was old enough to perform with the rest of the lower school dancers here:

Before heading to the "big stage" though, we had to warm up.

Once we were there I was a little concerned Emma might get nervous being on such a big stage with so many people in the audience.  Silly mommy.  Emma was not a bit worried.  In fact, I'm pretty sure she thrived on it.

Emma in the middle with her back to the camera.

Watching Mrs. Charla intently (on the left).

All the bluebirds coming out of their nests to fly. Emma's wings were taking a break.

And the curtsey.  You guess which one is Emma.

I only wish I had pictures of her blowing kisses to the audience.  Tears of laughter and joy were flowing folks. I get it a little more now. More revelation of God's amazing creations.  How precious, how important, how wonderful and how amazing these talents in small bodies are.  God is amazing.  He creates each one so special and unique.

After the show we ran into our favorite firefly and good friend, Ada.

The girls danced a bit and had a party for their last class after the recital.  Emma is SO sad her teacher of two years, Mrs. Charla is leaving after this year. She wanted a picture at the end of class to remember her!

And finally, the class shots.

I've got the feeling there are hundreds more dance classes in our future!!

To Recap

Oh yeah, baby.

We had a good time at the beach with Granddaddy and Meemaw.

We played in the sand.

Danced a bit.

Went for walks (aka chased the beach ball).

And built sand castles with our resident construction manager.

All while this angel slept (well, most of the time anyway).

Until next time!!
