He is Risen!

He is risen indeed!  What a glorious day to celebrate our Savior.  We actually taught Emma to say "He is Risen" today on the ride the church.  It just makes your heart sing to watch children learn! But it sings much louder when I remember the miraculous blessing we received in the life, death and resurection of Christ.  Today, we celebrated that His wounds were healed.  His beaten body was restored.  Death was overcome.  Sin was forgiven.  Hallelujah!!

We had a good day. Emma is EXHAUSTED from the week's events and that made for a bit more whine than normal.  (At least we knew it early when she told us she was sleepy at 8:30 this morning...)  Nonetheless, she was still excited to go to church and continue to yell in toddler tones: "He is Risen!"

He died for me????

After church, we had some time to kick back before lunch.

Thanks so much to everyone for the kind emails, phone calls and occasional comment on the blog this week.  Y'all really encouraged me and I'm so grateful the Lord provided us the means, opportunty and resources to celebrate and learn all week long.   I hope to continue this tradition every year--in some form at least.  It was an amazing week and the Lord revealed so many of his blessings and mercies.   Thank you Lord for your ultimate sacrifice.  He is indeed our Risen Savior!

Now, back to our regularly (or intermittently) scheduled blogging...

Thank you for sharing your Holy Week with us. We cannot be reminded too much or too often of the Lord's love, sacrifice, and victory. Praise His holy Name!
